Rose Marie Vos, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene as responders doused the fire at 38 Jackson St. around 12:20 a.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

A 61-year-old man also died in the fire, though his name is being withheld pending family notification, Suarez said.

The victims’ cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

More than $47,000 had been raised in the first six hours on a GoFundMe for the owners and staff of Hoboken CrossFit, which was destroyed in the blaze.

Several adjacent buildings were also severely water damaged.

The fire remained under investigation by the Regional Arson Task Force, Hoboken Fire Department and Hoboken Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office at 201-915-1345 or leave an anonymous tip on the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office official website.
